About Capital City Speedway
Capital
City Speedway was first built in 1972. First known as the
Hanover Kart Track, it was changed to Capital City Speedway
(CCS) in 1984. Over the years CCS has been the host for
many racing divisions. In 1988 the track was bought by current
track promoter Ronnie Sipe. Through the years of him promoting
the raceway, the track has seen vast improvments. Within
the last 15 years the track has gone from 1/10 of a mile
to 1/4 mile, and been host to many fantastic saturday night
finishes under the lights. CCS has also played a role in
the VDKA state series, being one of the best races of the
year in that division. We are currently in the process of
expanding parking and will soon be able to accomidate over
400 participants. Thats a little about the track, we look
forward to seeing you out there in the future.
